Class Overview
Radio Operations builds on the foundation of principles and skills learned in COMM 190: Intro to Radio with increased focus on radio programming and production while continuing to improve on air presence and capabilities.
I am available ANYTIME to students for review or instruction on techniques taught in class or required for assignments. However, it is up to you to contact me if you are having difficulty with a concept or procedure.

Grading
Your CR/NC grade will be based on attendance, assignments and quizzes.
Any project that is late will be accepted only under "Two for One Make Good Rule." Standard radio industry procedure for missed spots is to reward the client with two spots for every spot that has been missed. Therefore, if you fail to turn your production assignment in on time, you may turn it in by the next class session along with an additional project that meets the requirements of the assignment.
No Credit
Four classroom absences
Two WGCS shift absences
Any combination of four missed assignments or quizzes
Absences for family matters, GC athletics, or other approved college related reasons will not count against you. Sickness, sleeping in, studying or working on class projects and full or part time jobs are not excused absences.
No Class Held
There will be no official classes held on the following days: Jan 27, Feb 8 & 24, Mar 17 and Apr 7. On days when no class is held the production studio will be reserved exclusively for use by COMM 290 students.
