Memorial to our long dog who injured his spine and is no longer with us 

I made this salt glazed dog by wrapping soft textured clay on a newspaper core. The slab was made by flattening clay between a layer of course burlap and a layer of canvas. After bisque firing, the texture as coated with red iron oxide and the surface of the texture was sponged off.
