pot is cut loose, if hands are dry, and if pot has NO slip or water on
it, you can lift without any pressure.
pot just sticks to your hands and you lift it off. If it is stuborn, cut
the wire or string through again.
it is still resistant, tip it a bit with your thumbs to break it loose.
- Plates, wide bowls, very large work,
and other flat pieces are cut loose, but they are left on the bat on which
they are thrown until they have partially dried. Some potters choose to
throw on a porous material to promote better drying of the base while it
sets on the bat.
