Annie made this quilt for her daughter, Lizzie, on her seventeenth birthday when she joined the church. Lizzie later married Sam Kauffman and lived near Goshen. When Lizzie died, the quilt was given to her nephew. The quilt is signed and dated "Lizzie Bontrager, Feb. 7, 1895."
