Hints and Ideas for PottersHint #1
How I avoiding throwing my work off the wheel when I accidently step on the speed control on an electric potter's wheel.
How to do it
Drill a hole in the top of the foot pedal and thread it. Put a wood block unter to protect the lower housing as you drill.
If you haven't done this kind of repair
work, your hometown hardware person sells the simple hand tools and
parts needed. Print this page and take it to the store with you.
I use a bolt that is 1.5 inches long and 0.25 inches in diameter.
A wing nut locks it in place. Once installed, no tools are needed
to quickly set any maximum speed.
