My old school--Colegio Metodista! Here, the guardhouse, and rather severe-looking fencing is all new. People do seem more wary of their children's safety now than 20 years ago. Was it Nicaragua, or something else? Of course, after Columbine and similar occurrences in the U.S. schools are also getting more fortress-like.
