About Exam 2
The exam will take place on Friday. You may
- use a non-graphing calculator. (The math department has several Casio FX-260 calculators, and you may borrow one of those for the exam.)
- refer to a page of notes (yes, both sides if you wish) that you prepare ahead of time.
The exam will cover the topics in chapters [9.1-2], [2.1-4,FT], [3.1-5], [5.1-4] in our textbook. The material in labs 5-7 supports these...
I recommend:
- preparing a page of notes as a "summary sheet". Preparing that summary should help you synthesize and remember the important concepts and techniques you've learned and used.
- solving some or all of the Review Problems and Strengthen Your Understanding exercises in chapters 2, 3, and 5.
- studying with someone else: Across other classes I've taught, this has consistently been one of the strategies of top-scoring students.
